Rotary clubs are based on the same values, but no two are the same since each community has its own unique needs. At club meetings around the world, members come together to strengthen their connections with friends and neighbors and their commitment to improving lives. Rotary members share ideas, make plans, listen to the community and meet with friends during club programs that drive the impact they have. The Lake Norman-Huntersville Rotary Club is located in the beautiful Lake Norman area, just north of Charlotte, North Carolina.
This local chapter of Rotary International has a truly global reach, with more than 46,000 Rotary and Rotaract clubs around the world. Members can recognize their relationship with a Twin Club certificate of recognition for Rotary clubs and Rotaract clubs. Open World is an international exchange program sponsored by the United States Congress with the collaborative support of Rotary. Many Rotary clubs and districts have been actively involved in welcoming emerging leaders from Eurasia.
Host clubs have mentioned the impact of the program experience and how it created international understanding in their clubs and communities, forged peer connections and initiated new friendships. Rotary members can participate in a variety of activities, including general activities of the Club, service projects, fellowship activities, and more. Some clubs hold all or part of their meetings online for members who have a tight schedule, limited mobility, or who live in an area where there is no established Rotary or Rotaract club. You can also expand your club's connections with the world by developing a sister club relationship, collaborating with other clubs and partner organizations on service projects, or organizing a visit to Open World.
